General Description

The HRIS Analyst supports the planning, implementation and administration of the enterprise-wide Human Resources/Payroll Information Systems ( HRIS ) for faculty, staff, student positions and employment. This position supports the Human Resources department in the analysis, input and upload processes of employment data into Banner; ensuring accuracy of data and reconciliation of information. The HRIS Analyst prepares accurate and timely reports and audits of the HRIS system, and serves as the department consultant with respect to system patches, testing and upgrades.
Specific Responsibilities
Assist the Manager, HRIS in maintaining the HRIS system; updating tables, rule forms, data elements to ensure accuracy of information for budgeting and payment of employee wages in a timely manner.
In collaboration with Manager, HRIS , develop implementation and execution plans for system updates/upgrades.
Maintain data standards of the HRIS system.
Maintain up-to-date documentation manual of the HRIS system.
Manage and create reports to audit data input; follow up on issues found in data audits.
Manage and maintain the College’s timekeeping system, Kronos/ UKG .
Design and create timely and accurate reports including routine and ad hoc reports from the HRIS database. Download files into a PC-based system for manipulation and/or analysis.
Provide data maintenance and update support.
In collaboration with the College’s Marketing department, maintain and update content to the HR department’s website.
Serve as department consultant on the HRIS system with ITS (e.g., system patches upgrades, and reporting), including technical consultation, problem solving, and support, and serve as back-up to the Manager, HRIS with Payroll (e.g., ensure the smooth flow of documentation and timely salary for contractual payments, coordinate resolution of payroll problems, salary adjustments, account and FTE changes, and transfers), and Finance (e.g., position control).
Process, review and track faculty and staff personnel transactions, including hiring, termination, retirement, employee status changes, special compensation, and special contract assignments.
Provide support for training on the HRIS system for both human resources internal staff, for external units, and for employee self-service applications.
On a weekly basis, produce audit report of changes/updates/additions to the Banner system for payroll. Compare report produced to the C-forms/spreadsheets to ensure that employees are receiving the proper pay, adjustments, and one time payments as is necessary.
Participate in special projects as requested.
Verify data and make updates in Banner system as needed.
Complete surveys including CUPA -HR and other survey reports as needed.
Deliver quality customer services to both internal and external constituents in a professional, helpful and courteous manner.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Any and all degrees must be from a recognized institutional accreditor.
A minimum of two (2) years of HRIS systems experience (e.g. ADP , Datatel, Taleo, PeopleSoft, UKG , Workday, Lawson, etc.) required.
Understanding of and experience with relational query reporting systems required.
Demonstrated proficiency using Excel and Access required.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills required.
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making assessments for decisions required.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment with changing priorities required.
Ability to maintain sensitivity, understanding and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students faculty, and staff of varying, social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds required.

Preferred Qualifications

Banner HRIS experience preferred.
Experience maintaining web content is preferred.
