Workday Student Records Consultant
SUMMARY :
The Workday Student Records Consultant will work closely with the University Registrar and the Associate Director for Systems Support to facilitate the successful delivery of data and configuration for the Academic Foundation and Student Records workstreams on the Workday Student implementation at Montclair State University. The Student Records Consultant will participate in Business Process Analysis sessions and ensure recommended improvements are properly implemented. The Student Records Consultant will be tasked with working with both the Academic Foundation and Student Records workstreams to capture requirements, configure the system, and test functionality.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develops, executes, and tracks progress of Academic Foundation and Student Records test scenarios.
Works closely with the Academic Foundation and Student Records team to make configuration decisions for the workstreams.
Plays a critical role in data mapping, migration, and cleanup tasks.
Documents Academic Foundation and Student Records reporting requirements and tests the developed reports.
Assists with development of job aids for the Student Records workstream.
Provides training to the Registrar's Office staff and other relevant parties to ensure successful adoption of Workday Student.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
A minimum of five years of experience as Associate Registrar or University Registrar with progressively responsible experience in successful management and administration of a Registrar's Office.
Expertise in managing academic records.
Comprehensive knowledge of course registration, enrollment, and student record-keeping policies and best practices.
Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and anticipate impacts of proposals on policy and practices.
Experience utilizing Student Information Systems, degree auditing systems, reporting systems, and classroom management systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience implementing or using Workday Student.
Ellucian Banner expertise.
Change management experience.
Familiarity with common Registrar's Office third-party systems for scheduling, transcripts, etc.
Experience managing projects across multiple functional areas.
