Description

NOTE: This job is 100% remote, however the resource should be open to some limited travel if necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Function as an advocate for our client, manage a brand new Workday implementation, overseeing an external Workday implementation partner to ensure new system is delivered successfully; managing Workday implementations through all life cycles stages.
Formalize final acceptance for the project from the sponsor/customer by ensuring that the delivered product(s) and services comply with the agreed deliverable lists, scope, and contractual obligations of the vendor are met.
Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities and enforcing accountability, developing and maintaining a budget and schedule to ensure timely completion of project.
Maintain standard project management documentation and metrics with limited direction.
Work directly with internal and external client counterpart, other project leads, including systems integrators, and ongoing operations to deliver successful implementation and manage scope; and mitigate risks.
QUALIFICATIONS
8 or more years of program/project management experience required, including scope and requirements definition, deliverables management, problem solving and process improvements.
5 or more years of functional / technical Workday experience in HCM, payroll, talent management, and benefits management.
Experience leading large, complex project implementations of Workday.
Experience leading Workday cross-functional projects.
Workday Project Management Certification strongly preferred.
Strong vendor management experience, specifically with managing the software delivery of an external vendor partner.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change.
Strong relationship building skills, strong executive presence, and must be comfortable and confident in engaging with all levels of personnel from technical to high level executive management; ability to influence and gain consensus with key stakeholders.
Must be customer focused; meaning must be able to understand the importance of stakeholders’ business objectives and drive the process towards achieving those objectives.
Proficiency with MS Office productivity applications including MS Project, Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
